TalkNET – International Final Conference
The International Final Conference of the TalkNET (Transport and logistics stakeholders Network) project was held on Thursday, July 16, 2020, from 10:00 to 12:30. The cooperation project for multimodal freight transport adapted to the environment is co-financed from the program “Central Europe 2014/2020 – Interreg Central Europe 2014/2020”. The Port of Rijeka Authority participates in the “TalkNET” Project – Transport and Logistic Stakeholders Network (Interreg Central Europe Program) in the role of an active partner. The total value of the TalkNet project is 2,732,088.82 Euros. The European co-financing of the project is 85% EU, and the budget of the Port of Rijeka Authority is 138,305.80 Euros. The estimated duration of the project is 3 years. The initial Kick-off meeting was held on 6 and 7 July 2017 at the Port of Venice Authority.

The key topics of the conference were the progress, challenges and policies of sustainable global supply chains in Europe, the current state of eco-innovative freight transport solutions involving the LNG market and ways to create a sustainable future and sustainable methods of shifting freight transport from road to rail. The conference was be followed by a presentation of a digital book of abstracts.
