Liquid cargo terminal
The terminal for liquid cargo includes a part of Omišalj Bay with the Adriatic Pipeline terminal. The JANAF system was built as an international oil transportation system from the Port and Omišalj Terminal to domestic and foreign refineries in eastern and central Europe. The designed pipeline capacity is 34 million tonnes per annum (MTPA), and installed 20 MTPA. JANAF has a storage capacity of 1,54 million m3 and 202 000 m3 for storage of petroleum products. At the terminal there are two berths with a depth of 30 m, which can accept tankers of up to 350,000 DWT. The maximum loading/unloading capacity of a single berth is 20.000 m3/h. Company Janaf j.s.c. operates at the terminal.
