A symbolic handover of a valuable donation from the Port of Rijeka Authority was held on August 27, 2020 at 11 am at the Kantrida Children’s Hospital.
Noticing the efforts of the Clinical Hospital Center Rijeka to improve the living conditions of patients, the Port of Rijeka Authority donated five more high-efficiency air conditioners to the hospital. The donated technical equipment was used at the building of the the Port of Rijeka Authority headquarters, where the works on the adaptation and arrangement of the facade were recently completed. The renovation of the valuable cultural and historical building will restore the original appearance of the former palace of the Maritime Province, so the installation of outdoor air conditioning units on the renovated facade of the building will no longer be acceptable. This donation is a continuation of the successful cooperation in which the Port of Rijeka Authority has already donated five high-efficiency air conditioners to the Rijeka Hospital, including installation costs.
The Port of Rijeka Authority has once again demonstrated social responsibility and commitment to the common good in the interest of improving public health care standards.
Since the beginning of the renovation of the building in January 2020, a total of 10 air conditioners have been donated to the Clinical Hospital Center Rijeka in order to improve the standard of living of patients in hospital wards.
The event was attended by the director of KBC Rijeka Alen Ružić, the head of the Clinic for Pediatrics Jelena Roganović and the executive director of the Port of Rijeka Authority Denis Vukorepa.
