Concession for Zagreb Deep Sea Container terminal: A procurement procedure completed

The public opening of bids in the procedure of granting a concession for the development and economic use of the Zagreb Deep Sea container terminal in the Port of Rijeka was held on Monday, May 10, 2021 at the Port of Rijeka Authority. According to the minutes on the public opening of bids, it was determined that 1 (one) bid was submitted by the APM TERMINALS / ENNA LOGIC Consortium. The bid contains all the necessary elements in accordance with the requirements of publicly announced Bidding Documents and meets the maximum criteria from the tender. In the received bid, the bidder obliges to build the necessary infrastructure with full equipment of the Zagreb Deep Sea container terminal in Phase 1 and Phase 2 (construction of 280 meters of a new pier and equipping it) and guarantees a container traffic of 1,000,000 TEU in the first two years of operation.

Notice of intention to grant a concession for the development and economic use of the Zagreb Deep Sea container terminal in the Port of Rijeka was published by the Port of Rijeka Authority on March 22, 2021 on the Electronic Public Procurement Notice of the Republic of Croatia (https://eojn.nn.hr/) and in the Supplement of the Official Journal of the European Union. The concession is granted for a period of 50 (fifty) years, the estimated value of the concession is HRK 20,543,241,942.00 (excluding VAT), and the determined amount of the fixed concession fee is EUR 2,000,000 per year.
