Visit of the Ambassador of the Republic of Austria to the Republic of Croatia

    On Friday, Denis Vukorepa, the Executive Director of the Port of Rijeka Authority, welcomed the Ambassador of the Republic of Austria to the Republic of Croatia, HE Dr. Josef Markus Wuketich and the Director of the Austrian Foreign Trade Office Advantage Austria Zagreb Mrs. Sonja Holocher-Ertl.

    During the official program, the Ambassador got acquainted with all current development activities carried out by the Port of Rijeka Authority, the overall investment cycle and the accelerating development of the Rijeka transport route, which is a key part of the European Mediterranean Transport Corridor. Director Denis Vukorepa presented the successful implementation of development infrastructure projects co-financed by European funds from the Connecting Europe Facility (CEF) in order to achieve modern, competitive port capacities, keep the growing trend in total Rijeka port traffic, and reach the favorable investment climate created after the construction of the new container terminals – Zagreb Deep Sea container terminal and the initiated development of the Porto Baross marina into a nautical center.

    The Ambassador expressed satisfaction with the good results and current activities of the Port of Rijeka Authority and the long and strong cooperation of Austrian and Croatian business companies that have been operating in the Port of Rijeka for many years and expressed the growing interest in further economic opportunities.
