Signing of the Agreement for the road pavement arrangement at the storage manipulative surface area at the position of warehouse 7 in Rijeka Bas
The signing of the Agreement for the road pavement arrangement at the storage manipulative surface area at the position of warehouse 7 was held on Tuesday, April 4th 2023 at 11 a.m. at the Port of Rijeka Authority.
The Agreement for the road pavement arrangement at the storage manipulative surface area at the position of warehouse 7 is worth 1,205,641.42 euros (without VAT), i.e. 1,507,051.78 euros including value added tax. The Contract was signed by Denis Vukorepa, Executive director of the Port of Rijeka Authority and Sanjin Purić, president of the management board of the selected bidder company GP Krk Ltd.
The procurement procedure for road pavement arrangement at the storage manipulative surface area at the position of warehouse 7 was executed through a public tender published at the Electronic Public Procurement Bulletin of the Republic of Croatia and followed by the Decision on the selection of the most economically advantageous offer issued on December 29, 2022, at the Port of Rijeka Authority´s Governing Council´s session. The selected bidder was GP Krk d.d. On March 22, 2023, the Decision of the Government of the Republic of Croatia was adopted, providing the consent to the Port of Rijeka Authority´s Governing Council to sign the Agreement.
The storage manipulative area at the position of warehouse 7 is located next to the Vienna pier in the Rijeka Basin and is secured by the demolition of the technologically outdated multi-storey warehouse during 2021. This Agreement will ensure the execution of works for the construction of a new pavement structure and the associated water supply network and storm drainage network in the area of the removed warehouse 7, thereby providing a new operational area adequate for the manipulation and storage of modern loads, from containers to heavy and oversized loads in the Rijeka Basin.
In this port area, works are underway on the construction of new working outdoor lighting with a total value of HRK 2,745,337.40 (without VAT), or HRK 3,431,671.75 with VAT or EUR 455,461.11. The contract for the works was signed in December 2022 and includes lighting design, electrical work and the installation of 4 lighting poles with a height of 25 meters.
In the immediate vicinity of the area, there are works in progress within the project “Upgrade of the Rijeka Port infrastructure – Rijeka Basin (POR2CORE-Rijeka Basin)”, which is co-financed by 85% of total value by the European funding program – Connecting European Facility. The total value of the project is EUR 33,664,078.00, and includes works on the reconstruction of the infrastructure in the Rijeka Basin at the Prague, Budapest and Vienna piers, as well as the Visin, Orlando and De Franceschi piers.
