Two mega container ships, CMA CGM Antigone and Hapag-Lloyd UMM QARN, berthed simultaneously today at two container terminals in the Port of Rijeka, highlighting the port’s unique operational advantage in the Northern Adriatic and its ability to accommodate large container vessels at different terminals at the same time.

At the same time, vehicles were being discharged from the Ro-Ro vessel AICC Huanghu at the Budapest Pier, while the cruise ship AIDAblu, carrying almost 1,900 passengers, entered the port alongside the Rijeka breakwater.

This intensity and diversity of maritime traffic, combined with several different port operations taking place simultaneously, once again demonstrate the operational strength of the Port of Rijeka and its increasingly prominent position as a leading port in the Northern Adriatic.
