Memorandum of Understanding signed by Port of Rijeka Authority, Customs Administration, Port of Rijeka j.s.c., Adriatic Gate j.s.c., Rijeka Gateway Ltd. and Croatian Association of Shipping Agents
On 21 April 2026 at 11:00 a.m., a Memorandum of Understanding was signed between the Port of Rijeka Authority, the Customs Administration, the companies Port of Rijeka j.s.c., Adriatic Gate j.s.c. and Rijeka Gateway Ltd., and the Croatian Association of Shipping Agents.
The Memorandum of Understanding establishes a framework for professional and technical cooperation in areas of mutual interest, as well as for the exchange of information within the signatories’ respective jurisdictions, with the aim of improving safety and the quality of work, facilitating trade, and ensuring a faster and more secure flow of goods through the Port of Rijeka. It also promotes the development of partnership relations and strengthens trust with reliable economic operators, while helping to prevent and detect illegal activities.
The Memorandum of Understanding further contributes to increasing the competitiveness of the Rijeka traffic route, while ensuring the protection and security of the market and the financial interests of the Republic of Croatia and the European Union.
The signatories to the Memorandum of Understanding are: Denis Vukorepa (Port of Rijeka Authority), Mario Demirović (Customs Administration), Duško Grabovac and Marko Mišković (Port of Rijeka j.s.c.), Inigo Nunez Mendibe and Goran Manfreda (Adriatic Gate Ltd.), Tomislav Rosandić (Rijeka Gateway j.s.c.), and Marko Škraljsky (Croatian Association of Shipping Agents).
