    October 1, 2026

The Port of Rijeka Authority once again hosted the Croatian Chamber of Economy (CCE) Working Group on Improving Import-Export Processes.

The working group brings together representatives from the CCE Association of Freight Forwarding and Logistics, the Customs Administration of the Republic of Croatia, and the State Inspectorate of the Republic of Croatia; the field meeting in Rijeka served as an opportunity to exchange experiences and discuss current topics related to import and export processes.

At the initiative of the Croatian Chamber of Economy, working group members toured the AGCT and Rijeka Gateway container terminals, where they familiarized themselves with operational organization and workflows. During the tour, various segments of the logistics chain were presented, including truck reception and arrival, the execution of customs procedures, crane operations, and other activities related to cargo handling and flow.

Following the terminal tour, a meeting was held at the Port of Rijeka Authority, hosted by its Executive Director, Mr. Denis Vukorepa.

Participants agreed that such field meetings make a valuable contribution to the further improvement of import-export processes, and it was decided to continue holding them in the future. The goal is to further improve and simplify administrative procedures, accelerate the flow of goods, passengers, and services across external borders, and contribute to the increased competitiveness of the Croatian economy through continued cooperation and information exchange.
