    October 15, 2026

As part of the three-day specialized program “Executive Learning Tour 2026” held from October 12 to 14 under the theme “Reshaping Supply Chains: Green Logistics, Adriatic Gateways and European Corridors”, the Port of Rijeka Authority hosted representatives from the Serbian business community. Spanning the route of Belgrade – Rijeka – Trieste – Monfalcone – Koper – Belgrade, the program brought together representatives from the business and logistics sectors to exchange knowledge and experience regarding the development of North Adriatic ports, rail connectivity, green logistics, and the future of European supply chains.

The program was organized by the Representative Office of the Croatian Chamber of Economy in Serbia, in collaboration with Confindustria Serbia, the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Serbia, the Slovenian Business Club, and the Hellenic Business Association of Serbia, with the aim of directly connecting business professionals with key logistics hubs in the North Adriatic.

During their stay in Rijeka, participants were introduced to the development and business aspects of the Rijeka port system. Opening remarks were delivered by Ivan Jakšić (Port of Rijeka Authority) and Marija Tikvicki (Croatian Chamber of Economy in Serbia). The program continued with presentations on strategic development projects, business operations, and logistics perspectives, delivered by Vojko Kocijan (Port of Rijeka Authority), Marko Mišković (Port of Rijeka j.s.c.), Iva Roman (AGCT), as well as Mirjana Matović and Davor Šćulac (MSC). The program in Rijeka included a professional tour of the Adriatic Gate Container Terminal (AGCT) at Brajdica during which participants had the opportunity to learn about its operational capacities and its role in international logistics flows.

The entire tour program was supported and guided by representatives from the global shipping company MSC (Mediterranean Shipping Company), based in Croatia and Serbia. They provided participants with insights into current global trends in the maritime and logistics sectors, and presented opportunities for optimizing supply chains and transport routes with a particular focus on the potential of North Adriatic ports.

Following the successful conclusion of the Rijeka segment, the tour continued with visits to Monfalcone, Trieste, and Koper where participants had the chance to analyze key port and logistics systems in the region, exchange best practices, and further strengthen business cooperation.
