Contracts signed for Construction of Connecting Road of the Port Area with the State road D 403 and project PROMARES
On Friday, July 30, 2021, the signing of Port of Rijeka Authority´s new projects took place in the presence of Minister of the Sea, Transport and Infrastructure Oleg Butkovic, Deputy Prefect of Primorje-Gorski Kotar County Vojko Braut and Mayor of Rijeka Marko Filipovic.
A total of three contracts were signed within the program:
1. CONSTRUCTION OF THE CONNECTING ROAD OF THE PORT AREA WITH THE STATE ROAD D 403
2. PROFESSIONAL SUPERVISION ON THE CONSTRUCTION OF THE CONNECTING ROAD OF THE PORT AREA WITH THE STATE ROAD D 403
3. IMPLEMENTATION OF THE ACCESS CONTROL PILOT PROJECT, PROCUREMENT OF SOFTWARE, DELIVERY AND INSTALLATION OF EQUIPMENT FOR PROJECT PROMARES , INTERREG ITALY – CROATIA
The contract for the construction of the connecting road of the port area with the state road D 403 with a total value of HRK 32.225 million with VAT was signed by Josip Purić, President of the Management Board of GP Krk d.d. and Denis Vukorepa, Executive Director of the Port of Rijeka Authority.
the contract for professional supervision on the construction of the connecting road of the port area with the state road D 403 was signed with Nikša Marković, director of IN Stria d.o.o.
The importance of the Project for the construction of a connecting road with the state road D 403 for the development of the port of Rijeka has been recognized by the Ministry of the Sea, Transport and Infrastructure of the Republic of Croatia and the Government of the Republic of Croatia. On July 22, 2021, the Government of the Republic of Croatia issued the consent for concluding the Contract for the construction of the connecting road of the port area and the Decision approving the financing of the project from the state budget of the Republic of Croatia in 2022.
The new connecting road will ensure the traffic connection of the port area (general cargo terminal) in the Rijeka Basin with the state road D 403, the construction of which is in progress. The construction of the internal connecting road of the port area in the length of 695 meters is a physical continuation of the road D 403 to the east which will connect all port terminals for general cargo in the Rijeka basin with the road D-403 and completely relieve city traffic from heavy trucks passing through the center. of the city of Rijeka.
In addition to the mentioned contracts, a Contract was signed for the implementation of a pilot project of access control, software procurement, delivery and installation of equipment within the PROMARES project co-financed from the European cross-border cooperation program Interreg Italy – Croatia. Rijeka and Sušak.
The contract in the amount of HRK 514,668.75 with VAT was signed by Denis Vukorepa, Director of the Port of Rijeka Authority and Ivan Funčić, Director of the West Region of Securitas Hrvatska d.o.o.
The introduction of a new access control system will enable the modernization of the existing control system at access locations at the entrances to port areas in the Rijeka and Sušak basins and the installation of new elements in accordance with modern needs for security connections in a single integration system. The PROMARES project with a total project budget of € 2,778,200 brings together 12 partners from Italy and Croatia who face the same challenges of multimodal transport and the efficiency of the TEN-T corridor network in the region.
On this occasion, the Port of Rijeka Authority also presented promotional films showing the completion of works on two projects co-financed from the European CEF program (Connecting European Facility). The video content was made within the activity “Communication and dissemination”, and for the purpose of recognizability and visibility of project activities, the development of works on the project “Development of a multimodal platform in the port of Rijeka and connection with the Adriatic Gate container terminal (POR2CORE – AGCT)” in the Basin Sušak ended in December 2020 (total value: EUR 35,556,000.00 with an EU co-financing share of 85%). With the completion of the works, the construction of the intermodal terminal, the reconstruction and construction of the Rijeka-Brajdica marshalling yard and the Sušak railway tunnel with a pulley were completed. The second promotional film shows the project “Upgrade of the Port of Rijeka infrastructure – General cargo terminal (POR2CORE-GCT)” in the Raša basin (total value: 6,914,000.00 EUR with the share of EU co-financing of 45, 30%), completed in April 2021. years. Activities on the reconstruction of the terminal for general cargo in the Raša Basin in the length of 164 meters were presented at the event.
