Three Seas Initiative and Business Forum 2026
The Memorandum of Understanding between the Port of Rijeka Authority and the National Company “Maritime Ports Administration” SA Constanța was signed today at Hotel Palace in Dubrovnik as part of the Three Seas Initiative and Business Forum, one of the key international political and economic forums, which this year gathered around 1,500 participants from 45 countries and confirmed the growing strategic importance of the area between the Baltic, Adriatic, and Black Seas in European transport and security flows.
The signing of the Memorandum of Understanding was attended by the Prime Minister of the Republic of Croatia, Andrej Plenković, the President of Romania, Nicușor Dan, and the Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Croatia and Minister of the Sea, Transport and Infrastructure, Oleg Butković.
The Memorandum of Understanding was signed by Denis Vukorepa, Executive Director of the Port of Rijeka Authority, and Mihail Teodorescu, Director General of the Maritime Ports Administration SA Constanța. It establishes a framework for intensifying bilateral cooperation in the field of maritime transport and the port industry. The cooperation includes the exchange of information on port traffic and development infrastructure projects, upgrade of logistics and digital solutions, joint promotion of the ports, and the exchange of professional knowledge and experience, with the aim of strengthening the efficiency and competitiveness of both port systems.
