Working Group for Improvement of Import Export Processes
At the initiative of the Croatian Chamber of Economy, a meeting of the Working Group for the Improvement of Import-Export Processes was held. The meeting was attended by the Director of the Customs Administration of the Republic of Croatia Mario Demirović, Deputy Director of the Customs Administration Bosiljko Zlopaša, Head of the Rijeka Regional Customs Office Andrej Franulović, and representatives of the State Inspectorate of the Republic of Croatia Ana Tičinović Masnica, Head of the Phytosanitary Inspection Service for Market and Export Supervision, Vjekoslav Ricov, Head of the Border Veterinary Inspection Service, and Marko Markušić, Head of the Border Sanitary Inspection Service.
Representatives of the Council of the Association of Forwarding and Logistics also participated, led by the President of the Association Petar Šimić, then the Director of the Transport Sector of the Croatian Chamber of Economy Dario Solda, and the Business Secretary of the Association Vedrana Ferić.
The members of the Working Group visited the AGCT and Rijeka Gateway container terminals where they were introduced to the work processes, including truck arrival areas, customs procedures, crane operation, and other segments of the logistics chain.
After visiting the terminal, the Working Group held a meeting at the premises of the Port of Rijeka Authority, hosted by the Executive Director, Denis Vukorepa.
It was concluded that this form of meetings will continue in the future, with the aim of reducing administrative procedures and consequently increasing the competitiveness of Croatian businessmen, to accelerate the flow of goods, passengers and services across external borders.
