According to the Veterinary act (Official gazette 41/07) and the regulations for animal origin products which are not regarded as human nutrition. (Official gazette 87/09) treatment of waste products of animal origin is a prophylactic measure directed to detecting, prevention and supression of epydemic and parasit diseases of humans and animals and also a measure of veterinary environmetal protection. Such a by - product must not be discharged from the ship as the ordinary waste but separately delivered to a legitimate company for further safe waste treatment.
